News about the next Tomb Raider film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has confirmed a third movie is in the works with Dan Lin as producer. Time Warner acquired film rights upon increasing its stake in Eidos in December 2008. The film is still in early stages with no writer or director yet, but the report indicates it will be a reboot that will re-imagine Lara Croft origins. Lin announced that Angelina Jolie would not be returning to the role of Lara Croft, and that a new actress might be cast after a writer and director are attached to the project. Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban and Children of Men Director Alfonso Cuaron is rumored to directed the movie. Graham King's GK Films acquired the film rights and plan to release an origin story reboot by 2013. Iron Man writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby have been hired to pen the film. 

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Launching on PlayStation 4 October 11

As part of ongoing #TombRaider20 celebrations hosted by Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix,Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebrationlaunches on PlayStation 4 October 11. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will include the award-winning Rise of the Tomb Raider, a new story chapter called “Blood Ties,” co-op play for “Endurance Mode”, all previously released DLC, and more. The Artbook Edition will also feature a 28 page book filled with official concept art and community contributions.
